Biography
Timshel is an indie pop
family from Vaasa in Finland. It started out as a solo project that
became a four piece, which then grew to a small big band with six
members. Inspired by everything from American literature and folk music
to modern indiepop and rock, Timshel has created an energetic sound that
is a mix between the acoustic and the electric. Combined with
thoughtful lyrics, Timshel hopes to provoke, as well as comfort and
spread joy and energy with their music.
Since the band members currently are spread out in Finland and Sweden, Timshel often plays with different set-ups. Sometimes with a smaller acoustic set-up, sometimes with the original four piece set-up, and sometimes with the whole six member group. This gives a great variation from show to show, and you never know who might show up playing a banjo or a fiddle.
